Kingman & Heritage Islands In-Person Charrette on Education and Ecology

The DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) invites you to participate in an in-person charrette for the Kingman & Heritage Islands Trails and Amenities Design Project.

We will gather for an interactive charrette where the project team will share what we've heard through previous community engagement and discuss how those insights are informing the next phase of planning.

This charrette is part of the Pre-Design Phase of a two-year design period. Although this phase is primarily focused on sharing project background and existing community input, participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and help inform the next steps in the planning process.

Earlier in the day, we will hold a site walk on the Islands. You do not have to attend both events, but you are welcome to. (See the separate Eventbrite page.)

What You'll Learn

  • Project background and goals

  • Previous community feedback

  • Education and Ecology opportunities

  • Current planning efforts

  • Next steps in the project

This event will be held indoors. The venue location will be announced soon.

This charrette is part of the Pre-Design Phase of a two-year design period.
