Join DOEE, Living Classrooms, and your neighbors for FrogWatch, a community science program.

Through FrogWatch volunteers collect and submit data on calling frogs and toads in ponds and wetlands around Kingman + Heritage Islands throughout the spring and summer. Registration will open on this page one month prior to the monitoring session.

The rain date for this event will be Tuesday, June 30th.

FrogWatch monitoring sessions include over a mile of walking on the islands at night. FrogWatch is recommended for high schoolers with a chaperone and adults, as the program requires participants to stay completely quiet for multiple 5-minute increments during the monitoring walk. As frog call activity wanes later in the season, we may also listen for other nocturnal animals, so bring your curiosity!
