FrogWatch is a community science project in which volunteers collect and submit data on calling frogs and toads in ponds and wetlands around Kingman + Heritage Islands. FrogWatch events take place 30 min after sunset and will last for two hours. To learn more about FrogWatch, click here. Please register in advance below.
FrogWatch monitoring sessions include over a mile of walking on the islands at night. FrogWatch is recommended for high schoolers with a chaperone and adults, as young children have a hard time staying quiet for multiple 5-minute increments during the monitoring walk. As frog call activity wanes later in the season, we may also listen for other nocturnal animals, so bring your curiosity!
