Join us at high tide for a free opportunity to paddle and clean the Anacostia River by helping us pick up floating trash (typically plastic bottles)! You’ll be assisted and guided by staff certified in paddling education and CPR/First Aid.

Each weekend we will be hosting two boating sessions, each session lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes. These two hours include an orientation, 60-90 minutes of paddling time, and a short trash sorting and weighing period at the end. You’ll be contributing directly to research into what kind of trash is found in the river and where it comes from!
